LFA brings top prospects and one-night tournament to Brazil at LFA 111 and LFA 112

LAS VEGAS, Nevada —LFA CEO Ed Soares announced last month that the promotion will be going international in July. LFA will bring its first international events to the country of Brazil with a pair of shows that will be hosted in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

LFA 111 and LFA 112 will feature top up-and-coming talent as well as a one-night tournament from the modern-day birthplace of MMA, which is Brazil.

LFA 111: De Sa vs. Bonfim goes down Friday, July 16th. The main event will feature a lightweight showdown between top lightweight prospects Rangel de Sa and Ismael Bonfim. LFA 112 happens two nights later on Sunday, July 18th. This event will feature a one-night, four-man tournament with the winner being crowned the new LFA welterweight champion. Both events will take place at the Upper Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The main card of both events will be available worldwide on UFC FIGHT PASS® at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

Rangel de Sa vs. Ismael Bonfim will headline LFA 111 on July 16th. This card will also feature the return of LFA standouts Ary Farias and Carlos Mota.

Then two nights later, we will host the first one-night tournament in LFA history at LFA 112. Diego Dias, Carlos Leal, Gabriel Bonfim, and Brenner Alberth will be the four participants. The winner will be crowned the new LFA welterweight champion. As the premier developmental organization in the world, we are now able to develop top Brazilian talent on their home soil.”

Those five fighters include Alexandre Pantoja, Pedro Munhoz, Diego Ferreira, Thiago Moisés, and Mackenzie Dern. In the first week of June 2021 alone, Gregory Rodrigues and Tabatha Ricci both made their UFC debut after each went 3-0 in the LFA.
